What is Happening?

What happened to America? Where did the United States go? 

Tearing families apart, throwing crying, screaming children into cage-like facilities? 

MY GOD, PEOPLE! WHY ARE WE LETTING THIS HAPPEN?

ICE and now the Border Patrol behaving like the Nazi enforcers in Hitler's Germany! SO WRONG!

Joe Kennedy III said it correctly: HUMANITY has nothing to do with a green card, a visa, or citizenship.  It has to do with the treatment of people. 

AND THERE IS NO HUMANITY IN THIS BEHAVIOR!! 
OH. MY. GOD!!

Children screaming and crying as they are being yanked away from their parents is HORRIFIC!!!

THIS IS NO LONGER THE UNITED STATES! 

THIS BEHAVIOR DOES NOT REPRESENT WHAT WAS ONCE THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!

SO SAD! EVERYBODY NEEDS TO STAND UP FOR HUMANITY--RIGHT NOW!!

LET''S GET OUR PRIDE IN AMERICA BACK!!! 
RIGHT NOW!!!

    It's horrible, Carole--more than that, it's unbelievable. I can't believe this is happening in modern-day America. As Gayle King said on the CBS morning news: "The Statue of Liberty is weeping."

    What we fail to realize is that trump and men like him living in our midst have been waiting since the end of slavery to return us to times such as these. Anyone who is not not white, male and wealthy is undeserving of humane treatment. What is sad is that poor whites thinks they are excluded from this treatment, not realizing that trump and his kind look down their noses at them as well and lump them into that same category with black and brown people. If we ever needed to be one nation united under God, it is now. This is the only way that we can truly make America great again. (my 2 cents worth).

      And a good 2-cents that is. You are absolutely right, Dr. White. Those trump minions who voted for him, and now defend him don't realize that he has them in the same category he has the brown people and the black people. He sneers at them.

Government Shutdown

This seems to be the talk at every gathering, every dinner table, and everywhere else these days. In my opinion, it's despicable, not to mention unprofessional and childish. Shutting down the government because a group doesn't like a program is just like taking your ball and going home because you don't  like the rules. And if non-essential workers are furloughed, why is Congress still there? Oh....that's right. It's non-essential workers---not non-productive workers. Now here are some of the departments and agencies that are considered NON-ESSENTIAL: CDC--Center for Disease Control . Nope. I guess that's not important. They only identify diseases and their sources, which could stop an epidemic. It's too bad they can't stop the epidemic of Congressional Stupidity.
